About Us
Hi, I'm Joe! Roam Community is a solo app I’ve been building for a few months to make traveling easier. Having twenty tabs open and still not being sure which campsite to pick wasn't great. My hope is to give my wife and I more freedom to roam and embrace spontaneity on the road.
How we got here
My wife, Natalie, and I started building our own cargo van in 2025. After around eight months of hard work, we finally finished and started our traveling journey together. However, we found tracking and planning for campsites way more difficult than it needed to be. I created Roam Community to take the pressure and stress off of the travelling lifestyle so I could spend more time making memories with my family.
The rest of the crew
Our three "children" - Remi (left), Spoon (center), and Mio (right) - love traveling just as much as we do. They are avid explorers and enjoy experiencing the outdoors alongside us. Finding a good camping spot is just as important to them as well!
What's the plan
Roam Community's goal is to help users plan their outdoor adventures without the usual stressors. However, since it is so new, I need your help to make it the best possible version of itself. My plan is to incorporate your user feedback into the app to make it easier to navigate and use.
